what did you hear or learn today in the movie?
i learned that there were two reporters who worked tirelessly to get some type of confirmation of what they believed to be true. i have to admire how hard they worked and how long they kept at it, in spite of their boss and the public.
what did you see or learn?
I have learned throughout the whole movie that the reporters had a hard scary job to do and did it. The could have ruined there careers but risked it all for the truth.
I saw two reporters with all the odds against them working hard to get what they deserve. They kept their poise when things werent going their way, and finally it made it worth the while. They got a lot of the information they were looking for, and were able to keep those who spoke under deep background.
Woodward and Bernstein would not give up. They were persistent, and they kept persevering to uncover the truth of the story. What would it have been like if the reporters hadn't tried so hard? What if they had given up? We wouldn't have had the whole truth of the Watergate scandal. I'm glad that Woodward and Bernstein kept trying, even when the times were tough.
This is Jade by the way...(:
I saw two guys who worked tirelessly against the odds to get the proof they needed to do there job and get there article out. To take on the governments cover-up and reveal the truth of what really happened.
I learned that there were people watching the people who Woodward and Bernstein were trying to interview. The two reporters were preforming a risky job. Also, the people they were interviewing were at risk. I also learned that it was very important that anyone who gave information to keep their identity a secret.
I learned that their job was a lot harder then, than it would be now. They had a lot more work to do to make a story. They and the people they interviewed were taking risks by having meetings. The whole country was watching this story.
I learned that the life of a reporter is not as easy as it seems. You don't just go ask people rehearsed questions.. you sort of pick up the details by getting in-depth with the man or woman being interviewed. Now, Woodward and Bernstein were the most compassionate about there job. They were very interested in the Watergate scandal. We know now that it was one of the most important journalism events of all time.
I learned that a reporters job is a lot harder than it looks. Woodward and Bernstein were very committed to getting the correct information about the Watergate scandal. They worked very hard to put all of the information together that they received, and did not give up in tough situations.
I learned that Woodward and Bernstiens boss called them "Woodstein" I think that is really cool
